Kung Hei Fat Choy - Happy New Year!

We have been celebrating the Chinese New Year in preparation for 8th February.

We have learned about the story of 'The Great Race' and have practised writing numerals in Chinese as well.

We even created a dragon and took this on a procession around the school environment.

Look how much fun we had!

Run! Run as fast as you can! You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!
We have been really busy learning about the story of 'The Gingerbread Man'.

All the children went on a hunt around the school in search for the escaped gingerbread men. We had great fun searching high and low for them!

We also decorated our own gingerbread men!

We even made our own gingerbread men and ate them too!

WOW! What a busy term!

We have had a fantastic term and would like to welcome to our new starters who have settled in amazing well!

The Three Little Pigs

We started the term learning about the story of 'The Three Little Pigs'.

We have enjoyed listening to and acting out the story with our friends.

We have also been learning about the number three. What it looks like, how to count it and how to write it. I wonder if you could practise this at home?

Saturday, 28 November 2015

We have still be thinking about Autumn this week and our book 'The Nutty Nut Chase".

Linked to our story we have been learning about how animals are preparing for the winter and hibernation.

As part of our physical development we have been collecting and sorting nuts ready for hibernation. This game has encouraged us to think about our colours as well as controlling our movements and negotiating space effectively.

                                   Autumn

We have been learning about Autumn and the changes that happen during this season.

We went on Autumn walks around the school environment.

On our walk we collected leaves and sticks as well as look at how the trees are changing.

The leaves were then used to create a large Autumn picture using sticky black plastic, paint and glue.

We have had great fun! You can now see our amazing art work on the loft in Meadow Room!

Eid Al-Adha

On Wednesday 24th September we learned about Eid Al-Adha which many of our friends were going to be celebrating the next day!

As a group we moved to music and explored instruments; both inside and outside!

We have been busy making marks using different resources!
